Kid friendly restaurant with a playground

I remember reading somewhere about a restaurant on the water that has great food, great view, and a playground the kids can play on while you wait for your food. I actually think it is in Florida, maybe Pensacola, I%26#39;m not sure. Anyway, I know it has a red roof if that helps. If anyone knows what the name of this restaurant is that would be great! If not, any other kid friendly restaurants! Thanks!

Two places in Gulf Shores that fit the bill are The Hangout and Lulu%26#39;s. Both places have people on this forum that love them and hate them, but the play areas for the kids are both pretty good. I have never eaten at The Hangout. My daughter works at Lulu%26#39;s, so I go there occasionally. I stick with the appetizers or maybe a burger and they%26#39;re pretty good.

I agree, just returned from Gulf Shores, and the kids (between 7-9 years old) loved both places, as did the adults, as they both had a big sandy area for playing.

We thought Lulu%26#39;s food was very good...the Hangout was a bit hit-and-miss, some food was very good, some was mediocre at best.

Lulu%26#39;s is a bit more seafood, the Hangout a bit less and more normal %26#39;American%26#39; fare.

The Hangout does have a different band every night, and a nice big area to sit outside and get a drink and listen, within viewing distance of the sand play area for the kids.

Wasn%26#39;t at Lulu%26#39;s in the evening, so can%26#39;t tell you much about that.

Drove to the Crab Trap in Perdido Key, if you%26#39;ve been to the ones around the Destin area, which our kids loved, the playground here does not compare to the others as it%26#39;s nowhere near the beach; looks more like a school playground in a little area next to the restaurant.
