4th of July week house rental ??

Hello,

I was wondering if by chance someone could give a little advice......... I have read other posts on here and some people seem to know about the houses on the Island. We cannot decide which house to rent. We are currently looking to rent either Sonrise 107 Quebec Ct, Paradise Point 2616 Bienville Blvd, or 111 Pushmataha Ct they did not list a name for that one. I know it is probably a slim shot for anyone to know all of these but I figured it was worth a try. Also if anyone has any advice of things to do or see, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi, Jessi:

You might want to consider that The house on Bienville is across the street from the Gulf beach, so you would have to cross Bienville and would have the added traffic sounds of Bienville Blvd (which are pretty minor on D.I., but you are talking 4th of July). As far as addresses go on Quebeck and Pushmataha, the larger the number, the further from the Gulf. Hope this helps!

Hi, You might want to go to www.acpinfo.com and use the resources on their homepage for actual location of your homes. There is a button on the left side for an interactive Map of Dauphin Island, an introductory video done by the Chamber of Commerce, and an Island Directory for restaurants, etc. Yes, ACP does rent homes as well, but that%26#39;s not the purpose of this message. And don%26#39;t forget to do your main grocery shopping on the way in at the Walmart located at I-10 Exit 17A-B which is your exit for Dauphin Island. We have the basics here on the Island, but not the complete grocery choices.

The houses on Quebec and Pushmataha are beachside, that means they are on the side of bienville (the main street) that is on the Gulf side. The home on bienville is on the bay side, you can swim and all in the bay but you don%26#39;t have any waves. If you really want a great house get one that is on the gulf itself. If boardwalk doesn%26#39;t have any, try www.dauphinislandrentals.com. I have been to the island twice and going back for the third time this year. Both places have beautiful homes.

I am renting 111 Pushmataha starting 5/17. It looks beautiful! I will let you know how it was!

All the suggestions are very good.

One other thing to keep in mind is that if there is a tropical storm in the gulf while visiting DI you would be advised to be further east on the West end of the island due to possible flooding as you get closer to the T thru W street names. There is a protective sand berm but with enough surf action the water can make it difficult for these more westward homes. Do obey ANY call by the rental agencies to move cars into the main main if flooding is called for.
