Places to eat along the 400 mile yard sale path

I would like to know of any good places to eat while on the 400 mile yard sale.

There is Top of the River, Applebees, Courtyard Cafe, Pasghettis (great homemade Italian food). I would suggest staying away from the chains and visit some of our ';local'; restaurants.

I realize this thread is from last year, but, since this year%26#39;s Yard Sale is coming up soon, it seemed worth a bump.

It depends where you are staying, but there is a place in Centre (Weiss Lake area) called Tony%26#39;s Steak Barn that is outstanding. Local owned, very fresh, the best steaks I can remember having anywhere, big porch while you wait with very friendly people. Also near Weiss Lake is Fibber%26#39;s- a one price buffet with LOTS of DELICIOUS homemade stuff. I usually do not like buffets, but they keep this stuff fresh, the variety is wide and the flavor is good! Local favorite; next to the high school.

Also, if you are talking about during the day, after shopping the Yard Sale a couple times, I have finally realized this IS a good time to sample some of the local specialties for sale at various trailers along the route. Boiled peanuts, fried green tomatoes, beans %26amp; cornbread, homemade pies, yum.....

This is a tip for the 2009 400 mile yard sale.

After doing this yard sale for many years. We have found packing a picnic lunch is the best thing to do.Once you are on the yard sale route you will only find food like bhlkin mentioned. Take plenty of water, sodas, etc.Bathrooms and porta potties are few and far between. There is a fire station called Blackcreek I think thats serves food for a donation. We have never eaten there just stopped to use the restrooms but it is always packed with people.
