Pet Friendly

I have heard that pets are not allowed on the beach in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, or Perdido Key. Is this correct? Are they allowed in Fort Morgan? Pensacola Beach?

Pet Friendly

I want to know the answer too. We love to visit places where we can take our dog. Sanibel Island in SW FL is our favorite place to go to the beach with our Corgi. He loves to greet people and bark at the birds. I have no problem with pets being anywhere as long as the owners clean up after them. That%26#39;s how we ';recycle'; plastic shopping bags. LOL

Looks like not in GS or OB. Doesn%26#39;t mention Fort Morgan though....

If you are staying at a beach front home in Gulf Shores you are allowed to let your pets out in that yard but not along the beach. Same with Orange Beach. Not sure about Perdido or Pcola. You are allowed to to have dogs on the Fort Morgan beaches.

The only beaches along the northern gulf coast that I am aware of that allows dogs on the beach, is Indian Pass, Cape San Blas area. These beaches are on the Forgotten Gulf Coast area, which is east of Panama City Florida. We love going to this area, as it is less people and allows us to take our dog with us to enjoy the beach.

Dogs are allowed on the beaches of Fort Morgan, AL.

I guess I should have noted, without being on a leash. We like to be able to let our dog play in the surf with us, so Fort Morgan does not allow this. Your dog must be on a leash.

That%26#39;s news to me. We go to Fort Morgan beaches all the time with our 2 and never have them on a leash, nor does anyone else.

There are so few people out that way, especially this time of year, that I doubt having them off a leash would be an issue.
