Hyatt Place Inverness

We are stopping in Birmingham over the Thanksgiving holidays. I%26#39;ve checked out a few hotels in Birmingham and just found this message board. Love it! Can you tell about the Hyatt Place in/at Inverness? Is it safe? Any family fun restaurants nearby? Thanks

Hyatt Place Inverness

Haven%26#39;t stayed there, but the area is very safe. This Hyatt Place is a converted Amerisuites. It is also very, very busy. Lots of traffic on Hwy 280. There are dozens of restaurants and plenty of shopping in the area.

Is The Wynfrey as bad as the posts say? Also, what about the Hyatt Place Hoover vs. the Hampton Inn Suites Hoover?

Can%26#39;t comment on the Wynfrey, but I will say that it surprises me that it gets bad reviews because it is a nice looking hotel attached to a nice, large shopping mall.

The Hyatt Place Hoover is a converted Amerisuites and the Hampton Inn and Suites was built as that. They are on the same side of Hwy 150 about 1/4 mile apart, so location is basically the same for both. Hwy 150 is very busy, and the Hampton Inn is at a traffic light which could be a plus. If the price is the same, I would pick Hampton because of the free breakfast.
