Publix

Hi We are travelling over from UK for a months stay from 11th Sept and are concerned about hurricane IKE any update yet.

Also we have heard that Publix are opening a store near to Rite Aid on Orange Beach anyone know if it is open yet and are there any other stores on that development ?

Drove past the Publix Wednesday night and it looks close to opening. The signs are lighted and parking lot looks good. It%26#39;s still not listed on the Publix website, so I don%26#39;t know what the opening date is.

We had looked at the Publix website and could not find it listed but as you say it is beginning to look good then maybe it will be open before or soon after we arrive. Thx again and we just cannot wait to come for some Alabama sunshine. Weather is appalling in UK !!

Just drove by the Publix and it%26#39;s scheduled to open on Weds the 10th of Sept. just in time for your arrival! Safe travels...

Hi Many thanks for your help and so very pleased to hear that Publix is opening Sept 10th must know we are coming !!!! Thanks for good wishes too for a safe journey. Watching IKE very carefully but they seem to feel it will hit Texas.

Publix is open and wonderful. The manager said we get ours in Fairhope in April or May

Had a cheap lunch which we enjoyed at Live Bait.

There was high water around the OysterHouse and a couple of other spots.

That was our vacation in GS/OB !!

We stopped in on Wednesday when it opened. Nice store and one we really needed. After we got around all the South Baldwin County realtors sucking up the free food samples, it wasn%26#39;t so bad!

Have to agree Publix is wonderful and so convenient to our condo. Will be shopping there most days during our stay. Thanks to everyone for replying

My mom and dad went to Publix twice during their recent stay and mom was in love! They got sandwhiches from there one day that even my mom, who doesn%26#39;t love sandwiches, said were great!

Coincidently just returned from Publix. We make a trip out for us from Fairhope by having lunch out. Today we ate at our old reliable The Original Oyster House where we always get a good meal.

Thx for replying and interested to hear you live in Fairhope as that is where our son and family live. Beautiful place and would recommend anyone to visit this area too if vacationing this way.

We leave in a few days to return to UK and dread going back to temps of 52 in the day and 40 at night after having had such beautiful weather here !!!
