I am looking for a great beach house or two where we can rent, stay and just go out our door to the beach for our wedding. Gulf Shores is our first choice but would be interested in hearing about other experiences on the gulf.

Beach house weddingDo not rent from Meyers During hurricane season, The trip insurance does not cover anything and they do not work with you to change your booking date. If a storm hits pray for a manditory evacuation or they rob you blind. Read the fine print.
banshee08, The trip insurance covers nothing? In another post you said it covered half. Please be specific in order to help visitors make travel decisions.
actually what banshee said it didn%26#39;t even cover half, maybe you should RE-Read the post before you start bashing someone on it. But I have had dealings with Myers in the past and found them very hard to deal with on the trip insurance but that is neither here or now on this topic.

Most of the rental management companies have a ';wedding friendly'; section on their website. Some of the houses will not allow weddings and you certainly don%26#39;t want anything to spoil your big day. Congtrats!

I%26#39;m sorry! I think I need to be more specific. My brother was getting married, but had to cancle because of the hurricane. My Family had condo with Meyers and we had to cancle. I just want people to know that when it comes to a wedding in hurricane season you may just want to rethink it. We could not change the room date and they would not work with up. As for trip insurance we got back a little less than half back. We are in the hole for over $800. We had extra charge of $25 to process card payments not listed on invoice bill. I%26#39;m not bashing I%26#39;m just telling the truth. I don%26#39;t want anyone to have that special day ruined too.
