Hi folks - I was thinking about heading over to Dauphin Island early next week, and was wondering if bringing my dog along would work out. I am not certain if dogs are allowed on the beaches: can anyone here on T.A. tell me what the regulations are on Dauphin Island regarding dogs?

Dogs are allowed, law says to keep omn a leash. people bring them on the beach often. Just please clean up after the dog,PLEASE!!!

Great - thanks for the reply. And of course we%26#39;ll clean up, it%26#39;s amazing that some people just leave their dog%26#39;s mess for someone else to deal with!
Have a safe trip, weather looks good ,seems all the afternoon showers are dying before they get to the Isalnd.Just hot and humid.
As you have heard, dogs are allloed on the beach with out a town permit. They are allowed anytime of day, no restrictions.
There are several rentals (including mine) that allow and encourage you to vacation with the pets.
There was some home damage from Ike but most houses are up and running and the BEACHES ARE LOOKING GREAT.
