We are thinking about driving from New Orleans to Gulf Shores April 8-10ish. I can never remember if it is too cold to swim this time of year. It seems like some years we went for Easter or Spring Break and the water was cool, but okay. Then, other years, we were freezing. What is it like now? I appreciate your input.

I haven%26#39;t been in the water recently but drove to the beach last weekend with some friends and the beach/water were packed. Weather is warming up down here...just keep your eye on the flag conditions

Believe the water temp is about 65 right now. We are there often and notice a few in the water but not many.
