At the end of May we are going to be briefly visiting Birmingham and will then be heading to Tennessee to see where the Battle of Shiloh was held. My husband tells me that we will be heading northwest out of Birmingham and we are looking for some place clean, very safe and reasonably priced place to stay. Does anyone have any suggestions? We don%26#39;t want to stay in Birmingham, but would prefer to be headed out of town and onto our next destination. Any help I can get, would be great.
Thank you.
Need some place clean and safe to stayIf you will be going up through the Jasper area on Future I22 - Corridor X - Hwy 78 (yes, it has that many names) - I would suggest the new Hamton Inn at the first Jasper Exit. There%26#39;s also a Holiday Inn Express in Jasper but it%26#39;s a bit off the interstate.
If you aren%26#39;t traveling that direction, which way will you be going?
Need some place clean and safe to stayWe will be heading on Route 78 toward Tupelo, MS. Is Tupelo far from Birmingham? Would it be better if we searched for somewhere to stay in Tupelo?
Depends on how far you want to drive out of B%26#39;ham. Jasper will be 1 hour tops and Tupelo another hour and a half or so past Jasper, it just depends on how fast you drive. There really isn%26#39;t too much between Jasper and Tupelo as far as hotels.
If you decide to go on to Tupelo, I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express at the Barns Crossing Exit.
