Beachfront condo near wharf?

Considering Orange Beach for summer vaction with 12 and 15 year olds. Would like them to be able to walk to some

activiites while there. Is it possible to stay on beach and be close enough to walk to wharf?

In a word...no. While The Wharf is only about a mile and a half from the beach as the crow flies, it%26#39;s at least a three mile drive or walk, probably closer to four or five.

Stay somewhere in Orange Beach like Seaside or Tradwinds, directly across the street from Adventure Island, perfect for teens and Gulf Front. Drive them to the Wharf if they wish to visit, but terribly overated. Even if you stay in GulF Shores, except for restaurants, you will have to drive to amusement areas.
