Nice to see a resident on here. We are coming for a few days in early April, Fairhope is one of favorite places in the entire US! This is about our fifth time there. We will be staying at Baron%26#39;s because of the location, have always been satisfied. Is the little cafe still on Main St.? and I remember a great Mexican place on the hill north of town. It is so beautiful there, and peaceful; it%26#39;s not starting to be touristy, is it?

Everyday there are tourists here, especially those from the condos in Gulf Shores in the winter.
There are several cafes downtown. There is a new one in the condos at Church St and De la Mare. All the old ones- Sandras, Andre%26#39;s and MaryAnn%26#39;s are still good. We have eaten at all of them in the last few weeks!! My favorite is Sandra%26#39;s shrimp salad. I like to go to the bookstore for a daily coffee.
This weekend is the Arts and Crafts fair so I will be fighting to keep folks from parking on my lawn!!
If i can help- Dave
The cafe i remember is more like a main st. deal, old wooden booths on one side. Anyway, we have always wondered about all the seafood restaurants on the causeway over to Mobile--any of them worth eating in? Not looking for atmosphere, just good food.
You are thinking of Julwyns --it has remodeled and at least some of the booths are gone!
There are several causeway seafood places now. The Oysterhouse is an old favorite of ours. But we recently ate at Ed%26#39;s and were very impressed with the quality of the cooking. Felix%26#39;s gets mixed reviews but they have a nice lunch menu. The others I haven%26#39;t been to
There is an Oysterhouse at Gulf Shores that we love!
