beach house for 2?

Hubby and I wish for quiet, romantic babymoon in cottage on the beach - but all seem to house 10+ people. Any way to get a secluded spot just for two? (and one on the way!) :)

You%26#39;re correct that most of the beach houses are high density. If a condo won%26#39;t do because it%26#39;s not secluded enough (and I understand perfectly. I%26#39;m the same way.), You might look at some of the second and third tier houses on Ft Morgan. They tend to be a little smaller and less expensive. Do a search on the big rental company websites and search for ';gulf oriented'; houses. That%26#39;s a realtor%26#39;s way of saying it isn%26#39;t on the beach.

Also, there is a property on the bay side of Ft Morgan that is made up of smaller cottages. I%26#39;m wracking my brain for the name of it, but it%26#39;s not coming to me. Fordarama or someone else can probably come up with the name. It might be a possibility.

Thanks for your quick and helpful reply. We sure were hoping to be able to step out of our back door onto the beach...but the Ft. Morgan suggestion may prove to be a delightful new way to experience the Gulf Shores area. Also looking into Perdido Key. Maybe a lower level condo in Eden (not as secluded, but the beaches appear to be less crowded - lots more space between high rise facilities, etc.)

The Rookery is the name of the place with cottages. It%26#39;s about a half mile to the beach, so a one minute drive. Don%26#39;t know much about the place, but it looks quiet.

Look into the Dunes or The Indies out Ft. Morgan Road. Not mega structures like Gulf Shores Plantation and The Beachclub, but very nice buildings on the beach side of the road. Believe the Indies even has a misting station on the rooftop with great views. Beach would not be crowded at all. In fact, almost deserted.

Thank you ALL for your help! Hubby and I have been busy this week - just found out we are having a GIRL! :) We will definitely look into all of your suggestions and look forward to celebrating on the beach...even if my belly might get mistaken for a beach ball!! ;)
