For anyone who has stayed here what is the best building to stay in since there are so many.
We are thinking about booking soon so any info would be great.
Are there any units that are ocean front or right in front of a pool?
Thanks for your time.
???? for anyone that has stayed at Gulf Shores Plantations
Stayed there years ago and did not care for the area. Too far from town. Ended up running into town (Gulf Shores) every other day for something. Considering as many units as there are, not many are Gulf front. Lot of children and teens running around unsupervised. Just my opinion. Some people love it.
???? for anyone that has stayed at Gulf Shores Plantations
We%26#39;ve stayed there four times, twice in the East and twice in Dunes. The buildings are all quite different from each other. Plantation Palms is the newest building, but the older buildings have nicely updated units as well. The East building prices tend to be less, and the view not as good from some units (though we still enjoyed it). The only indoor pool is closest to East. Dunes is a high-rise but if you stay on the west side of the building you have views of a very nice pool area and the beach (also a tennis court and mini-putting area). We try to get a unit as close to the beach-end of the building as possible. We haven%26#39;t stayed in Plantation West, but there is a very pretty area on the west side with two pools and very nice landscaping, plus easy access to the beach. West is only three floors so a shorter trip out to the pool and beach as well. I think Palms might be the only one with washer/dryer in the unit, too. We rented through www.vrbo.com. That way you can view the interior of the unit, as well as the views from the unit, before deciding if it%26#39;s what you%26#39;d like or not. Hard to keep it brief! Hope this helps.
missinggs,
thanks for the info, we have a vacation plan sorta a timeshare and this place is in our plan.
Do you know if there is any tiki bars or places to eat on this property?
Thanks again:)
No tiki bar. The beach-front restaurant was being renovated last time we were there (last spring). I don%26#39;t know if that%26#39;s open now or not. In the past I think it also was only open seasonally. There are some restaurants nearby but we usually drive into Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for dinner. (We stay at the condo for breakfast and lunch.) And even if you don%26#39;t rent through VRBO, it%26#39;s a good way to get an idea of the different areas of the Plantation because most condo owners have multiple pictures on their sites. We have always enjoyed our stays here.
