PLease help find decent hotel

We are going to maybe stay in Prattville on our way to Florida? Is that a clean safe area to stay? Also we were looking at Super 8 and wondered what anyone thougt of that or recommended a hotel in Prattville? I have not found any reviews on the Super 8. Please help! Thanks

I cannot speak much to the Prattville area, except that there will not be too much in the area. You might want to spend the night around the Pelham, AL exit (246) where there are many hotels and restaurants as well as a cool cosmic bowling alley if ya%26#39;ll want a little activity. If you are budget-minded there is a perfectly decent Travelodge here which can be had for about $45, as well as a Comfort, Sleep, Best Western, Ramada, and Holiday Inn. Also go to www.discountcoupons.com for several listings at this exit. Pretty much any kind of restaurant you could wish for as well. You will be only four hours from the beach from here. Safe travelling.

Nothing wrong with Prattville. It is a safe place, and there are several resteraunts. The previous poster mentioned exit 246 off I-65, which is also an excellent suggestion, but if you want to be about 60 miles further down the road before you stop then Prattville is the place. There is a Hampton Inn there that is okay.

Thank you guys for the info! We booked the super 8 but cancel by 6--we have a little one who may not make it quite that far--if not maybe I can try the other area you were speaking of--:)

We are staying at the Holiday Inn, Prattville, at the end of this month for a stop on the way to the beach. Has anyone stayed here lately?

Does anyone have any info on the Laquinta in Prattville? Is it a decent place? We%26#39;re planning to stop here on our way to PCB.

We have stayed at the LaQuinta several times and it has always worked out well. It is one of the ';new style'; LaQuintas...suites, interior hallways, etc. Great Mexican restaurant right next door.

Eyewall, I%26#39;m about 2 hours from Lexington so I%26#39;m wondering how long it took you to get to Prattville? Did you have a long drive from Prattville to your Florida destination? We will be going to Panama City Beach. Thanks for your input about the LaQuinta! :-)

Snowfly, it takes us about 7 hours to get to Pratville from Lexington, Bluegrass Parkway to I 65 south, through Nashville and Birmingham. We stay there on the way to Seagrove Beach. The next day it is an easy 3-3.5 hour drive to Seagrove. We get off of I-65 South of Montgomery at the Georgianna exit, wind down through Andalusia and Florala to U.S. 331.

Thank you Eyewall! Your info helps a lot!
