Has anyone eaten at Doc%26#39;s lately??? They used to be a buffet, are they still open? What about Mikee%26#39;s are they still around?

Haven%26#39;t been to Doc%26#39;s in quite a while. People I know who go there say the original is still as good as ever. Mikee%26#39;s is still open and still draws a crowd. Shrimp Basket is doing a good business, as is the Original Oyster House. I%26#39;m not a fan of Gulf Shores Steamer, but a lot of people on this board recommend it. DeSoto%26#39;s is still open and does a good job with fish. Usually when I want seafood I go to Billy%26#39;s and cook it myself.

Thanks dd...where%26#39;s Billy%26#39;s? We%26#39;re staying at Island Shores so I might just break down and cook one night.
From Hwy 59 go west on County Road 10. It%26#39;s about 5 or 6 miles north of the beach. There are signs on CR 10. There are also other seafood markets cloer to your condo like Boudreaux, Lartigue%26#39;s, Blaylock, etc.
Docs is still there and still good. It%26#39;s one restaurant you can always count on to be packed. It even draws a crowd in the winter months.
