My son%26#39;s baseball team will be traveling to Alabaster for the State Tournament at the end of June. We are playing at Veteran%26#39;s Park, 7305 Hwy 119. Please advise of close by and safe locations to stay in park distance.

Hwy 119 runs between US Highway 280 and Highway 31. Hwy 280 has many restaurants, shopping, etc. So I would recommend staying there. I think the Marriott on Grandview Pkwy is nice.

The area of 119 you would want to stay in is at exit 246 off of I-65. That is the Oak Mountain/Cahaba Valley Road exit. There are a lot of motels there, plus plenty of food options. You are only about 15-20 minutes from the park from there. If you check Expedia or similar website, enter Pelham, AL as the city. This will show you plenty of choices. Hwy 280 is much too far away from the park, and the Marriott will cost at least double what the motels on 119 in Pelham would be.
