Jelly Fish?

My family and I have a trip planned for June 9-12. I was just wondering how the jelly fish are this time of year. Last time we were there, it was the end of June and they were getting bad.

Jelly Fish?

Jellyfish come and go on their own schedule. There is really no way to predict them. That said, I haven%26#39;t heard anyone complaining about them so far this year.

Jelly Fish?

We just got back from Gulf Shores on the 25th and didn%26#39;t find the jellyfish to be too bad right now. Didn%26#39;t encounter many at all!

We have a home in Orange Beach and this past weekend the jelly fish were really bad around our home. We couldn%26#39;t get in the water.

We just got back on June 2 and the jellyfish were pretty bad.

Does anyone know if the jellyfish have cleared out? We are heading down to GS on the 21st and just wondered if that is an ongoing problem.

Keep in mind that they could come and go two or three times between now and the time you get here. Not sure where the Great Jellyfish Scheduling Department is, but we don%26#39;t have access to it. :)

LOL...gotcha. I understand that. I guess what I am asking is if this is a big problem all summer usually.

i was down sat. and heard some people talking about being hit by the jellyfish but i went into the water, only to knees and never saw any thank goodness! i was in the orange beach area.

We were there June 1-4 and the jelly fish were bad. We didn%26#39;t get in the water til the 3rd and even then had issue with the water. Our skin had a burning sensation we%26#39;ve never encountered before. It definitely put a damper on the beach vacation.

June 7th GS State Park, June 9th at Perdido Beach (over the bridge from Orange Beach next to Gilf Shores): stung a few times body surfing. The water is clearer at Perdido and you can see them, unless you are surfing a wave.

White vinegar and meat tenderizer works. The Gulf Shore life guards have a spray also - probabaly white vinegar.

Waterville today (kids want to go there)
