Need advice on hotel & things...

Hi. I%26#39;ll be traveling to Auburn in a few days for a family member%26#39;s graduation and would like to know if anyone has any advice on nice hotels there. Doesn%26#39;t need to be anything fancy, just needs to be clean! Any advice on interesting things to do would be appreciated also.

Thanks alot!!

Need advice on hotel %26amp; things...

I like the Hilton Garden Inn at the Glenn Drive exit off I-85, exit 57 I think. It%26#39;s fairly new and convenient to Auburn. If you want to stay in downtown Auburn the Auburn University Hotel is nice, but it hasn%26#39;t garnered as many good reviews as it did when it was new - maybe the property is showing its age.

Auburn has a pretty nice sports musuem in the athletic building - something to kill a few minutes. See Bo%26#39;s Heisman, lots of old time stuff from the leather helmet days.

Nice campus for a walk, and the downtown area is neat. Go to Toomer%26#39;s Drugs for a fresh squeezed lemonade. It%26#39;s just a small college town that%26#39;s a nice place to walk around.

Hilton Garden Inn is very nice.

Thanks for the info. It was much appreciated :)

Diddo on the Hilton Garden Inn.

Another good one is the Marriott in Opelika, which is very nice.

You might have a problem getting rooms anywhere in Auburn at this late date for graduation. If so, look at Opelika and even Montgomery (which is about 45 minutes away).

Auburn is a beautiful campus to walk around. I second the Sports Hall of Fame. Make sure to have a lemonade from Toomer%26#39;s Drug Store. Check out the sports schedules as there is likely something going on while you are there.

There are also some great golf courses and some hiking not far away.

You can beat the Auburn University Inn for convenience, and it was a really nice hotel a few years ago. Haven%26#39;t been there lately, though. We also enjoyed staying at the Jameson Inn. We have also stayed at a Quality Inn (I think that was the name of it). Looked like it was built in the 1960s, but it was clean and OK for an overnight stay.

Hotel rooms book quickly, though, and it doesn%26#39;t take a lot to fill up!

Sorry, I meant to say CAN';T beat the Auburn University Inn for convenience...
