Any one tried The Hangout yet?

just curious, looks like a new place. or maybe an old place that is making a comeback.

Any one tried The Hangout yet?

Don%26#39;t think it opens until Saturday. Was an old place but now bigger and better according to the paper.

it doesn%26#39;t open until Friday. there is a website call thehangoutal.com with lots of info.

anyone know where they are going to have the Shrimpfest now that this place has been built on much of the land used for the fest?

I imagine the Shrimp Festival will remain where it%26#39;s always been. There were buildings covering that Hangout space before Ivan, and Shrimp Fest was fine. You only need so much room for little booths to buy hand-painted uglies and greasy food. :)

I walked over to check out The Hangout after eating at the Pink Pony Pub on Saturday, 5/3. Pretty cool place. Big open space with a HUGE ceiling fan in the dining room.

We didn%26#39;t eat, just grabbed a beer at the bar and watched some of the Derby coverage.

I was in Gulf Shores Apr. 30- May 4, and my family and I tried the Hangout. We ate lunch there on Saturday, and the food was excellent. The crab cake BLT sandwich was awesome-2 hamburger sized cakes and very reasonably priced. Also had gumbo, shrimp poboy and crab corn chowder- all were excellent and service was pretty good considering it was the opening weekend of the place. Would definetly go back for dinner and nightlife.

renrutac-looks like we may have been in there at the same time last Saturday ;-)

It was around 3 pm or so for me.
