Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of these two? We are planning a weekend trip in October. I didn%26#39;t realize this is also the weekend of the Shrimp Festival. I have found some pretty good rates on VRBO for both of these condos plus Phoenix Suites West. Looks like you can walk to Shrimp Fest from Phoenix and Clearwater. What about Royal Palms? One of the pluses of it is 2 baths and indoor pool. What is the water usually like in October? Is it still warm enough? Sorry for so many questions. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Royal Palms vs Clearwater
Royal Palms and Clearwater are about a block from each other, so walking to Shrimp Festival is easy from either one. The only Phoenix property within walking distanc of Shrimp Festival is the All Suites Hotel. The rest of the Phoenix properties are in Orange Beach.
RP and CW are pretty much the same as far as the condo units go. RP has more condos, but not significantly. RP does have the swim-thru pool and CW does not. Either would fit your purposes. I prefer RP.
Royal Palms vs Clearwater
Thanks for your reply. Yes, the Phoenix property was the All Suites Hotel West. Can you comment on this property? What about the water temp in October?
Thanks again!!!
We stayed at the phoenix all suites west during september, and the place was top notch clean,
great location, next door to Bahama bob%26#39;s ,
And the suites all have beach front living areas, full kitchens, bath and a half....
The only down fall is there are not washer and dryers in the room, but they do have one on the premises that you can use.
The pool is on the small side, But not sure if it is heated, we did not use it.
The beach was perfect in front of it...
Request a room on the ends, the views are better than the rooms in the center.......
Fordarama knows the Phoenix All Suites better than I. Water in October is still swimmable. Nice time of year to visit. Crowds are down and beach/water is still nice.
