Directions to Southaven/Memphis

can anyone tell me where you get on corrider X or I-22 off of 78- we%26#39;ll be heading to Southaven next week and i don%26#39;t want to miss it!!! also- does it take you all the way to memphis???

Near Adamsville or Graysville there is a big interchange/exit with the new sections of Corridor X. You should have no problems seeing it. It is controlled-access highway all the way to the Tennessee state line. Southaven, MS is the next to last or last exit in Mississippi. After you enter Tennessee, Hwy 78 becomes just a regular road in a VERY BAD area of town. My preference is to go west through Southaven or Olive Branch to I-55 North to Memphis.

There is another option that will put you on Corridor X at its ending/beginning point closer to Birmingham. If you would like turn-by-turn directions, let me know. It%26#39;s pretty simple.

THANKS- when i went to jasper in Feb there was a ramp off 78 to the right but we weren%26#39;t paying attention- was that it? and then further down there is a turn to the left to get on it- sorry if i sound confused....

I%26#39;m not 100% sure. I have only been by there on Corridor X and not on 78. I have seen the Hwy 78 overpass from below. Based on the signage on Corridor X for getting to 78 to go to Birmingham, I feel sure that there is significant signage on 78.

just talked to a friend that went last week- she went i-65 north to cherry ave- and got on it there-said it was very easy

That%26#39;s the alternate I mentioned. Take the 41st Ave. exit and turn left onto Daniel Payne Dr. That will intersect with Cherry Ave. and Corridor X where it currently ends. That will take you all the way to Southaven/Memphis. Southaven is a nice place.

Cherry Ave. actually goes over Corridor X. You have to turn onto an entrance ramp to get on it. Here is an aerial picture of the intersection.

A little more detail is needed to get to this point. Daniel Payne Dr. will intersect with Cherry Ave. Turn right onto Cherry Ave. and proceed until you intersect with Corridor X. You can%26#39;t miss it.

where do u pick up Daniel payne- from the exit??

Yes. Daniel Payne is just another name for 41st Ave. After you exit off of I-65, turn left back under the interstate and you will be on 41st Ave/Daniel Payne Blvd. You can move the map around on the link in the last reply and see how the road goes.
