Hi,
Can you all tell me where you%26#39;ve really enjoyed staying? We have taken my two teenagers to most all of the cities on the pan handle by now. My daughter would like to try Orange Beach. We%26#39;d like something less than $1400/week this summer. With a beach front view? Or possibly a great pool? We stayed in Gulf Shores last year at the Sunchase and loved it.
Any suggestions very welcome!!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!
Orange Beach-beach front, reasonable price, great pool?
There are tons and your best bet would be to look at the rental company websites, look at pictures and prices and decide what property you might like. Then you can either rent from them or try vrbo.com. Some suggestions: Four Winds (nice low density property with a small pool), Tradewinds, Seaside Beach %26amp; Racquet, Sugar Beach.

Tradewinds has a great swim-thru pool, large deck area, and never have to fight for a chair. Many units are ';direct'; Gulf front, some have ';side'; views.
Tidewater!
We have stayed in GS and OB - not much difference. Seacrest in GS is very reasonable and nice. Roomy beachfront 2 BR condo for $1290 week - peak summer rate - thru Young%26#39;s Realty. All condos face the beach. Not much difference in price of 1 BR and 2 BR but big difference in space. Outdoor pool, hot tub, and grill. We take teen boys and they love it.

I%26#39;ve heard great things about Palm Beach condos. We will be staying here this summer. Right now, the owner of this unit has some FANTASTIC specials through 5/24. You can get the 1BR (sleeps 4) for less than $1400 per week in the summer. I think these are relatively new, great beach, great pool, ocean view.
The link has photos.
The Palm Beach condos are indeed nice. What many people don%26#39;t know about that resort is that it%26#39;s both a weekly rental resort as well as a timeshare resort. Some units are held for rental. Some units are owned by different individuals who own the right to stay for a week. Its timeshare name is Escpaes! to the Gulf at Orange Beach.
Sometimes, a timeshare owner is unable to go for whatever reason...and needs to rent out his or her unit to recover the annual maintenance fee that he/she paid. There are many websites that lists timeshare owner rentals. Such sites include vacationtimesharerentals.com, redweek.com, or myresortnetwork.com.
Here%26#39;s a sample of such listings:

Unlike weekly rentals, there will be no additional fees charged as timeshare owners already pay state and local taxes and cleaning, etc. in their annual maintenance fees.
From the responses you are getting, I assume that you were referring to a condo. But I noticed you are coming from the North, so I thought I would put in my two cents. We visit Orange beach yearly and have always enjoyed the Holiday Inn Orange Beach. We get an ocean view room. They have a great pool, a HUGE complimentary breakfast, a microwave and refridgerator in the room. We figure that you spend little time in the room, why go fancy? But, the biggest thing is the fact that I have had friends pay the deposit on a condo and then a hurricane/family emergency comes up, and you lose your money.
Usually you can rent a beachfront condo for the same price or less than a hotel and with children along, there is so much more room. I%26#39;m sure owners or property management companies return deposits if there is a mandatory evacuation in the area. As an owner we only keep a deposit if someone cancels two weeks prior to their arrival date and the unit cannot be rented again for the same time period.
Our favorite place to stay in Orange Beach is the Phoenix condos. We have stayed at Phoenix 3, Phoenix 5 and Phoenix 6. Our teenagers liked 3 the best, because of the location. There were many other teens in the area.
We just got back from Gulf Shores this past week, and stayed at the Light House Condos. They liked the location there also, since they could walk to the Hangout. They did say that they wanted to go back to the Phoenix%26#39;s next year. Both places are very nice.
