Going to Beachside Resort hotel

Good Morning

Just like to know if anyone has stayed at this resort? First time coming dwon here.

Going to Beachside Resort hotel

Beachside is across the street from the beach on West Beach Blvd. It has been refurbished in the past couple of years, but I haven%26#39;t been in any of the rooms. There is a nice little Mexican restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Proprietor is really a nice guy. Traffic isn%26#39;t bad down there, so getting to the beach is a snap.

Thank you. What is the weather like there generaly around Christmas We decided to skip the snow here this year and made reservation Dec 23 to Jan 2

Hey Moose4. From Newmarket (decades ago) Let me know if i can help you

We are heading south for Christmas any thoughts about the hotel that we are going to stay at?? We have been going to Myrtle Beach in summer time but this is first time skipping the snow. Ha ha

Do you have any suggestions about other places I should look at Thanks

For the length of time you are staying i would consider a condo. Look at rental companies like Brett Robinson or a VRBO like this one http://www.vrbo.com/129804. BTW I have no connection to anything mentioned. You get more for your money.

If you don%26#39;t want to be in the heart of things Gulf Shores Plantation has a variety of condos/prices.

Make sure with condos you get ALL the fees stated up front. There can be hidden ';resort fees';

MB is far bigger than GS or OB but Mobile, Fairhope and Pensacola make good daytrips.

Put ';condo'; in the search box above or simply scroll back page by page and you will read the comments of people who have actually occupied some of thes places. I think i just read a good review of the Lighthouse-a new newer complex

Dave

Thanks Dave I will check it out!!

I%26#39;ll second Dave%26#39;s recommendation, stay in a condo. You are planning on being here for a while and the rooms at the Beachside are just standard hotel rooms. I think you%26#39;ll enjoy your stay stay much more in a condo. Cheaper too.

If you want to treat yourself on Christmas day i suggest the Grand Hotel in Fairhope for their dinner buffet--maybe a bit expensive but a first class experience. Call first for info and/or reservations soon

Thank you to all that have been helping me. I have been calling around to condos and hotels but it looks like I am late booking especially around Christmas time. So we have decided to go back to Mrytle Beach for now and next year plan early. I will remember and I wrote down the suggestions that you have said.

Thanks again!!

Glad we could help you make a good decision.
