I give advice on gulf shores as much as I can,
But I wanted to ask some of the locals what are the cheaper places that are good to eat??
With gas prices cutting into my vacation budget this year ,
We will need to try and save as much $$$ as possible while we are there,,,
We first time last year ate out every day, Instead of cooking some,
But the prices for four of us were always costly,,
And there may be 6 0f us this time, If the other two don%26#39;t break up , first....And they are broke teens with a new baby..Another story all together...
Anyway , I just wanted a few places that won%26#39;t kill the budget...
So any help would be nice....
Locals %26amp; food,,,,,,,help
I%26#39;m not a local but we do go down 3-4 times a year, and like you we usually eat dinner out most nights. One place we always go is Sea %26amp; Suds - the food is good and to me they are the most reasonably priced place around. Prices at The Shrimp Basket are not bad either.
Locals %26amp; food,,,,,,,help
Both Sea %26amp; Suds and Shrimp Basket are good recs. Bahama Bob%26#39;s is good and reasonable. DeSoto%26#39;s is very good and has a good variety. Tequila and El Cazadore for Mexican are very reasonable.
We usually eat at bahama bobs and the shrimp basket...
We liked the food at johnny rockets, The service was a night mare,,,,,,,,
And $55.00 for burgers and fries was a bit out there,
The welcome centers have magazines that often have ';buy one, get one free'; offers or half off. You can print a few coupons from your home computer and bring with you. Sea n Suds always has one for free gumbo. The new ';Hangout'; at the T, have not been there, but looked at their menu on line and seemed reasonable. Always served enough at Lamberts to bring half home for another meal.
Mrs dd and dd daughter ate at The Hangout last night and were unimpressed. The place just opened, so they may be having growing pains. Give them a month or so and see how they do.
this is a bit off topic but if you want a good, long, fun-filled daytrip that doesn%26#39;t break the bank go to the Naval Museum in Pensacola.
about a 30-45 min drive, it%26#39;s free, and they have a sandwich deal in their cafe for $5 (or so) get sandwich, coleslaw, chips, and drink
Hi Ford..... Don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;ve ever eaten at Mikee%26#39;s for seafood, but we had a shrimp po-boy (yummy) and fries, and it seemed very reasonable, and was quite filling. I know you%26#39;re getting anxious about your trip. We will be leaving out in 11 days! Have a great trip. Nannac from BB.
Hey bamanascar,
We were wanting to go the Naval Museum when we come down in October, but we were very dissapointed to see that the blue angels will not be there during that time. Is it still worth going to? My boys will be 10 and 12 when we go, and our daughter will be 2. Is there enough to keep the boys occupied and interested and is the drive worth it? Thanks
I think we have eaten there once, Years ago...
Thanks for the tip...
doc%26#39;s, shrimp basket, big o%26#39;s, gs steamer, sea n suds, all good inexpensive options.
