Rental agency recommendations

Just want to remind everyone that employees and owners of some of the local rental agencies do sometimes post on TA. If you notice a poster pushing one rental agency pretty hard, it%26#39;s a safe bet that they have a financial interest in that rental agency. Most of the rental agencies in GS/OB are pretty much the same and they all do an excellent job.

I have noticed in the last few days that a particular rental agency keeps getting ';mentioned'; on many of the GS posts (I had never heard of this one until I saw all these posts). I was starting to wonder if it was truly a tourist or not!

It does seem like most of the rental agencies down there are similiar and I don%26#39;t seem to recall that one has better prices than another. It often just comes down to the properites you%26#39;re interested in and the availability. I have noticed that some agencies do the extra-night-free thing if you rent 3 nights, 4 nights, etc. at several of the condos. Too bad I didn%26#39;t have that luck with houses!

I have been going to Gulf Shores for the last 18 years. Used to rent from Meyer%26#39;s Real Estate and then they raised their rates and their beach houses we rented were not being kept up properly (dirty and run down). So we tried Kaiser for two years and then they raised their rates (big time).

Finally tried Reed Real Estate. Best place to rent from if you want to stay in the Fort Morgan area, since that%26#39;s the area they specialize in. Rates are reasonable and the beach houses have been very nice. Renting from them again this year - going in August. Can%26#39;t wait!! I wish I could live in Gulf Shores.

Hey - Can%26#39;t help but suggest looking at Sunset Properties. We have come to love this company. Stayed with others agencys over the years, but now a true devotee due to the care they give their propeties and I know the prices are within our budget. They are also a mom and pop kind of company so they know each and every property they handle personally. They are only in Ft. Morgan though, so if you%26#39;re looking in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach you may want to try Resort Quest. I stayed with them here in Florida once. I heard they opened up shop in Gulf Shores.
