mobile hotel

I%26#39;m looking for a place to stay the night before departing from Mobile on a Carnival cruise. Any suggestions?

Will you have a car? If so, check out hotels in Daphne, AL just across Mobile Bay. Many newer chain hotels, including Comfort Suites, Homewood Suites (brand new), Hampton Inn, Microtel, are immediately off I-10 exit 35A/B %26amp; are actually closer to the port than similar Mobile hotels. If you decide to stay here, you may enjoy dinner at one of the causeway eateries - Original Oyster House, Felix%26#39;s, Oysterella%26#39;s, Ed%26#39;s, Blue Gill. There is also a boardwalk over a tributary to the bay which goes under I-10, easily walkable from any of the hotels %26amp; usually good for a view of alligators.

Great suggestion. If you had a bayview room at the Hampton you would look over the delts. Waffle house across the road and IHOP to your right. Shopping at Eastern Shore Center 1 more exit east on I 10 at Malbis. Ther are new motels there too. All this very convenient to the cruise terminal

We won%26#39;t have a car, but will take a cab or airport shuttle.

Without a car, you will probably want to stay at a downtown hotel near the cruise terminal, and pick one with an airport shuttle. The airport is far out on the west side of town and a cab ride downtown will be fairly pricey I imagine. I%26#39;m not sure who has a shuttle, but nice hotels are the Battle House hotel, a beautiful restored old hotel, the Riverview Renaissance hotel (a Mariott Renaissance branded hotel), and the Radisson Admiral Semmes. I think I%26#39;ve probably listed them in order of price from highest to lowest.

Enjoy your trip.

Ramada %26amp; Holiday Inn Downtown are also convenient to the cruise terminal.
