As far as flea markets go, mobile has a nice one. I would say 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hour max. Open SAT and SUN ONLY, opens around 8-8:30. Might think about going to the Naval Air Museumn in pensacola also. Have fun.

You would really be going out of your way--this market is in west Mobile -a good way from downtown. Look at the Exploreum as another thing to do

http://www.exploreum.com/--right downtown --5 min from the Alabama

Take out the ';right'; for a good link

It%26#39;s an okay flea market but there is one in Summerdale that is open on those same days and not nearly as far. Personally, after going to some of the flea markets in Central and North Alabama and in Tennessee I find them both to be a little lacking (Mobile flea market and Summerdale). I do think you will enjoy the USS Alabama. The Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum is a great suggestion and if I%26#39;m not mistaken there is a large flea market in Pensacola as well. You can also take the Ferry from Ft. Morgan to Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island and while in that area it%26#39;s not too far to head to Bellingrath Gardens and Home.

Thanks for all the info may reweigh our options. we do plan a day to to go to dauphin Island and the alabama during the week. just had a spare day before we could check into our house on sunday for a week and booked a room at the marriot in mobile. we will be coming down on west side of mobile so might take a gander at the market than find something else to do that day. any recomendations on a good place to eat close to the marriot? staying at one on airport blvd. I have been to bellingrath gardens and is one of the most beautiful gardens I have been to, but the rest that is going have not been there so may take that in they would love it. thanks again for all info looking forward to going to ft. morgan and mobile.
